Gerald D. “Jerry” Nethery age 77 of Monroe died on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 surrounded by his family at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Jerry was born on March 26, 1940 in Darlington, the son of Glendenning “Glen” and Ethel Viola (Moore) Nethery. He graduated from Darlington High School in 1958. Family, friends, faith and hard work were what Jerry valued most.  He cherished the time with his family and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren’s activities.  He had a passion for woodworking and had a spotless and fully equipped workshop.  He was also an avid Badger & Packer fan. Jerry’s faith was also a very important part of who he was. A family tradition of Jerry’s prayers before meals will be forever treasured and deeply missed. Jerry and Joyce enjoyed traveling with family and friends and he lived life to the fullest.
He was always deeply involved and an active member in his church, wherever they resided as well as an active member of the Darlington Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Evening Star Lodge #64 in Darlington, and a past member of the Darlington Fire Department.
