Lady Wariors stampede Ponies in twinbill

BARNEVELD - Sophomore pitcher Hannah Butler posted two victories in the pitcher's circle, including a combined no-hitter with teammate Savannah Burmeister in game one, and her teammates provided her with plenty of run support as Black Hawk Warriors rolled over the Monticello Ponies, 15-0 and 17-1, in a Six Rivers East softball doubleheader played on Monday, May 7.

Shullsburg/Benton scores big win

SHULLSBURG – It took a little while for Shullsburg/Benton to get its offense going, but once they did they were tough to stop as the host Miner-Zephyrs plated nine runs in the fifth frame and six more in the sixth to rally past Darlington for a 15-10 non-conference softball victory at Badger Park on Friday, May 4.

Braves edge ‘Birds in seesaw affair

BELMONT– Belmont relief pitcher Ethan James drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the fifth inning, and then held Darlington scoreless over the final two innings as the host Braves edged the Redbirds, 8-7, in a seesaw non-conference baseball game held at BHS on Monday, May 7.
