THE SHULLSBURG Junior class had their prom on April 21. The "Great Gatsby" theme was filled with much glitz and glam. Prom queen was Kaylee Rueter and prom king was Michael Welsh.

CANteen program seeks to teach work skills

Efforts to bring a new program teaching life skills are underway at Fennimore Middle and High School. Katie Koestler, the exceptional education needs teacher in the high school, is seeking a $1,750 grant with the help of Kim Droessler, Technology Integration and ESEA Coordinator at Fennimore Elementary, from the Dubuque Racing Association. Those funds, if received, will allow Koestler and her students to open up the CANteen coffee shop.

Walker signs Sparsity Aid bill at Riverdale

Gov. Scott Walker signed Sparsity Aid Legislation into law at Riveradle High School Monday morning. Assembly Bill 835 proposed by 17th District Wisconsin State Senator Howard Marklien (R-Spring Green) increases sparsity aid from $300 to $400 per pupil for the 2018-19 school year, estimated to increase state aid for smal rurals chool districts with relatively large geographic size by $6 million.

Darlington School Board: Varsity football realignment coming along

DARLINGTON – The Football Only Realignment plan presented at the WIAA Board of Control meeting in Madison on March 2 had its first reading and was approved 8-2 to move forward with the plan, Athletic Director Kurt Cohen told school board members on March 8.
