After sending out letters to parents of students who will be attending sixth grade this fall, the Boscobel School Board posted meeting notices online and at various locations in town last Friday for a meeting Monday night to discuss and solicit input from the public on the possibility of moving the sixth grade classrooms to the middle/high school building.

Darlington Forensics Team awarded Excellence in Speech Award

The Darlington High School Forensics Team was once again awarded the organization's most prestigious award, The Excellence in Speech Award, which recognizes schools whose students earn the highest medalist honors at the State Speech Festival, which was held on April 22 in Madison. This is the 23-year that Darlington has received this award. Since the Wisconsin High School Forensics Association gives this honor to the top five percent of schools, which is 18 schools in the state. The following students participated at State and received the following medals:

Boscobel hosts 25th annual Champion Games

Boscobel students and staff were all smiles as they began the March of Champions at the 25th annual Champion Games Friday at Boscobel High School. They hosted over 1,200 students, chaperones and volunteers from two dozen area school districts for a day of games, athletic competitions and inclusivity. UW-Platteville students joined high school student volunteers from Boscobel, Fennimore, Cuba City, Prairie du Chien, Southwestern and Wauzeka-Steuben

Miller retains seat on Boscobel School Board following recount

There has been another twist in the April 4 Boscobel School Board race, with incumbent Todd Miller now declared the winner in Area 2 over Cherryl Knowles, 417 to 415, following a recount last Friday. Miller had requested a recount of the town of Boscobel ballots only after the official canvassing held Monday, April 10, showed Knowles the winner, 414 to 412.
