Parkview Subdivision in Shullsburg - finalized

SHULLSBURG -In a meeting where 10 of the 13 action items on the City of Shullsburg agenda were related to and would finalize the Parkview Subdivision development, it seemed that Alder Emmett Reilly had given up the fight to stop the development. The Shullsburg City Council met Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 6:30 p.m.

Write-in candidate seeks school board vacancy

Badger Museum report

Mary Bradley gave a presentation regarding the 2017 Badger Museum. Bradley said, "The numbers for 2017 are kind of disappointing, but I believe there is a good explanation." The explanation is that Estey Street was closed for construction for a whole month. The attendance for that month was cut down by half. The other issue was that their internet was down and the museum couldn't apply for a Square application.

Hospital Committee makes an offer for lot in Argyle

DARLINGTON – The Hospital Committee approved at their meeting on Feb. 22 to offer Philip Steiner $75,000 for the lot and house located at the corner of South State Street and Mill Street in the village of Argyle to be used to build a new clinic.

Primary for Shullsburg Mayor

There will only be two names on the ballot on April 3 for the mayoral seat for the City of Shullsburg, but who it will be is unknown since there are currently three people running for the mayoral seat: Emmett Reilly, Gloria Swenson and Duane Wedige. A primary on Feb. 20 will determine who will be on the ballot come April.
