GAYS MILLS - A benefit will be held for longtime Town & Country Sanitation employee Doug Martin, who has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Syndrome). Doug and his family, wife Tina and son and daughter, Jason and Nichelle, are residents of Gays Mills.

The benefit will take place on Saturday, Feb. 17, starting at 11 a.m. at the Gays Mills Community Center, 16381 State Highway 131, Gays Mills.

The event will feature a cash prize raffle (tickets $10 each), bake sale, silent auction, good food, music and more.

You can donate items for the silent auction by calling Bob, 608-606-0767, for pick up; or dropping items off at Town & Country Sanitation, 104 Park Street, Boscobel, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday or at the Gays Mills Community Center.

There is no cure for ALS, but that hasn’t stopped Martin from doing what he loves. Martin continues to enjoy hunting, fishing, being outdoors, and his hosta collection remains one of his passions.

Please come out and help the community support this family.
