Boscobel Schools say goodbye to pair of longtime instructors

Anderson and Novinska

POSTED May 31, 2017 11:41 a.m.

With the formal end of the 2016-2017 school year this coming Monday, the Boscobel School District will say goodbye to two longtime teachers – Cindy Anderson and Beth Novinska.

Between the two, who have spent their entire teaching careers with the district, Boscobel will lose a cumulative 70 years of experience.

Both teachers worked long-term substitute positions after graduating from college – Cindy in the then-Arkansas (Wis.) School District during the 1979-1980 school year; and Beth in the Albany School District in 1983-1984. Their first full-time teaching positions were with Boscobel, in 1980 and 1984, respectively. And here they stayed.

“Boscobel gets under your skin and you just don’t want to leave,” Cindy says. “I fell in love with the kids and the parents. It’s just a very special place.”
