The 2013 Grant County Relay for Life at UW–Platteville Friday and Saturday had nearly 600 participants, including 75 cancer survivors, raising money to fight and prevent cancer, and remember those who died from cancer. As of Monday, the Relay for Life had raised $84,564.30 in pledges and other proceeds, including the silent auction. Read More

Boscobel family displaced by fire

The home of John and Sue Faulkner, 402 LaBelle St., was severely damaged by fire early Sunday morning. Boscobel firefighters arrived at the scene at approximately 2:30 a.m. to find the house in flames. They extinguished the fire without damage to adjoining structures, but the Faulkners were forced to move out of their house.
