Fennimore graduates Jordan Williams and Trey Hunt, along with junior-to-be Will Ahnen were named to the 18-player All-Tournament team after leading Fennimore Post 184 to a second-place finish at the recent Wisconsin American Legion Class A State Tournament in Osseo.

The trio led Fennimore (25–6) to a 4–2 record at the five-day tournament that was held July 27–31 in Osseo and an automatic berth in next week’s Legion Division 2 Great Plains Regional tournament by virtue of a Top-2 state finish. They are this week’s Mast Water Technology Co-Athletes of the Week.

Williams, a 2017 FHS graduate who also played in the American Legion All-Star Game last summer, played centerfield in all six games in the state tournament and batted .364 with a team-high eight hits in 22 at-bats, two doubles, a team-high seven RBI, four runs scored, two walks and three stolen bases for Fennimore.

Hunt, a 2018 FHS graduate, played primarily shortstop, but also picked up the victory on the mound in Fennimore’s 16–3 victory over Osseso on Monday. Hunt hit .353 (6-of-17) with one double, a grand slam homer in Fennimore’s win over Medford, six RBI, six runs scored and four walks. He struck out three and allowed three runs on four hits in a five-inning complete game victory over Osseo.

Ahnen played left field and finished second on the team with a .412 batting average in six games with seven hits in 17 at-bats. He also had three doubles, one triple, six RBI and led the team with seven runs scored, six walks, a .706 slugging percentage and a 1.266 OPS. Ahnen also picked up a win on the mound in Fennimore’s 13–11 win over Medford on Saturday. He struck out three and allowed six earned runs in 4 2/3 innings.

Fennimore Post 184 will open the Division 2 Great Plains Regional tournament in Wahpeton, N.D. on Thursday, Aug. 9.
