WHITEWATER—Haley Hentrich, a senior mathematics major from Lancaster, has been selected to serve as a Hawk Squad member for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Hawk Squad members help prospective students and their family members learn about academics, student services and co-curricular activities when they visit campus.
“The group is motivated and excited to welcome our incoming class. The Hawk Squad position teaches students time management, event planning and customer service skills,” said Amberly Bell, assistant director of First Year Experience.
Hawk Squad members also serve as ambassadors in the fall to incoming students and help them through orientation while they adjust to life on campus.
“These transferable skills are a great addition to any career and the students reflect on their experience, areas of growth and strengths during their one-year commitment to the Hawk Squad position,” said Bell.
