Halverson receives SW Tech scholarship
Halverson Corabeth

The Southwest Tech Foundation announces that Bloomington resident CoraBeth Halverson is the proud recipient of the Don Miller Memorial Scholarship.
The Don Miller Memorial Scholarship was established in 2009 by Don and Deborah Warren and Mike and Jessica Helms in honor of Don Miller, Deborah’s father and Jessica’s grandfather.  Mr. Miller was an Army Veteran of World War II, and then worked as an accountant for 30 years until his retirement.  Mr. Miller had many loves, being the caregiver for his wife and family, going to dinner at IHOP, playing cards, and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball.  Mr. Miller passed on May 21, 2009 and will always be remembered as the dedicated, hardworking man, father, grandfather, and great grandfather he was. This scholarship is awarded to a student enrolled Southwest Tech’s Accounting program.
“Southwest Tech has really helped me open up and make me realize that I can do what I want to do,” Halverson stated. “Southwest Tech is giving me the training, the confidence, and the hands-on ability to bring my dreams to reality.
