Ronald and Joceil Jones of Valders celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, June 6, 2014. Ronald Jones and the former Joceil Puckett were married on June 6, 1964 at Luther Memorial Church in Gays Mills. They have five children and 15 grandchildren. The family plans to celebrate the golden anniversary at the time of their son Matt’s wedding in July.
Ron and Jo farmed with Registered Guernsey cattle in Southwest Wisconsin, moving to the Valders area in 1992 when Ron became herd manager at Wayside Dairy. Jo retired last year from working in the kitchen at St. Mary’s Home in Manitowoc. They are active members of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders.
