Marlene (Helbing) and LaVern Oyen will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016, at the Dickeyville Community Center from 1 to 4 p.m.
The couple met in Potosi and were married by Father William Braun at St. Clements Church in Lancaster.
They have twin daughters:  Rhonda Ferrel of Berlin and Robin Wagner of Lancaster.
Marlene and LaVern have five grandchildren: Cody Uppena of Dubuque, Iowa, Shayla Ferrel of Milwaukee, Katie and Rylee Wagner of Lancaster, and Autumn Ferrel of Berlin.
They have one great-granddaughter: Kayleigh Uppena of Dubuque, Iowa.
