Dennis and Kristie Popp of Belmont will observe their 40th wedding anniversary on June 16, 2013.
    Dennis Popp, the son of Donald and Mary Lou Popp, and Kristie Swart, the daughter of Robert and Betty Swart, were married on June 16, 1973 at the Plattevile United Methodist Church.
    After 27 years of farming in rural Belmont, they moved into Belmont. Dennis currently works at Lands End and the Swiss Colony data center in Dickeyville. Kristie is employed by the Platteville Schools and the Wisconsin Historical Society at the Pendarvis and First Capitol historical sites. They are active in the community and members of the Pleasant View Methodist Church.
    They have a son, Nathan, and two grandchildren, Hannah and Connor.
    The Popps are celebrating with family and friends on several occasions.
