Mr. and Mrs. Todd A. Yocum of Paducah, Ky., announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Marie Suzanne Yocum to Merle Fowler Black, son of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Black, Jr. of Paducah, Ky.
Miss Yocum is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Etheridge of Paducah, Ky., and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reinecke and the late Mr. Fred Yocum of Lancaster, and Lighthouse Point, Fla., respectively. She is a 2015 graduate of the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky., where she received a bachelor’s of music degree in vocal performance.
Mr. Black is the grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Merle Fowler and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ray Black of Paducah, Ky. He is a 2002 graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Miss., where he received a bachelor’s of music degree in voice. He is employed by the Paducah Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015 at Grace Episcopal Church in Paducah, Ky.
