John Peterson and Andrea Bouslog were married on Aug. 8, 2014 on the beautiful white sands of Henderson Beach State Park in Destin, Florida.  The bride is the daughter of Mike and Laura Johnson of Rockton, Ill.  and the groom is the son of Kurt and Sue Peterson of Darlington. 

The bride was escorted by her father.  She wore an elegant white gown with back inset train of ruffled powder blue lace and light blue waist sash with attached white flower.  She carried a handmade bouquet of turquoise, white and lime green calla lilies with gemstone centers.  The groom wore casual gray pants with a white dress shirt.  The flower girl, Alexis Mendoza, threw artificial rose petals.  The ring bearer, Caden Bouslog, is the son of the bride. 

The bride and groom were married underneath a bamboo archway decorated with a tropical assortment of flowers and strips of lime green and turquoise cloth.  Music was provided by Big Day Weddings and the Reverend Josh Gidden officiated the ceremony.  To signify their union, John, Andrea, and Andrea’s son, Caden, poured colored sand from seashells into a glass carafe.

Mercedes Hansen, friend of the bride, was maid of honor, with Stephanie Straight, Victoria Medoza, Jill Reichardt (friends of the bride) and McKayla Bouslog (step-daughter of the bride) as bridesmaids.  Matt Regnier, friend of the groom, was the best man, with Matt Roelli, Mike Regnier, Peter Poppens, and Marc Reichardt (friends of the groom) as groomsmen.  A reception and dance at the Madison Club in Madison, followed on Aug. 30, 2014. 

The bride is a graduate of Saint Anthony’s nursing school and is employed at Rockford Memorial Hospital.  The groom is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with a doctorate in Pharmacy and is employed at the Walmart Pharmacy in Dodgeville.  The bride and groom reside in Verona.
