Calling all parents, principals, teachers, and students!

Do you know of a teacher who has done a great job teaching their students about the outdoors, the environment, or conservation? Perhaps a teacher who takes extra time to give lessons on the natural environment, forestry, or about our beautiful streams? Or maybe they have done a special project with recycling, composting, or gardening.

We need your help in submitting nominations so that we can recognize the good that our teachers are doing.

To submit a nomination, please include:

1. The name, address, and contact information for the nominee.

2. The name, address, and contact information for the nominator.

3. The reason for nominating the teacher including their conservation accomplishments, community involvement, and their commitment to conservation education.

4. The impact that they have had on their students and conservation or management of natural resources.

Winners will receive recognition for their work and also a prize.

Please submit nominations to Vernon County Land & Water Conservation by Monday, Dec. 29, 2014 to 220 Airport Rd., Viroqua, WI 54665 or smcdowell@vernoncounty.org.
