2021 grant funds

As with so many things in 2020, the council held only a limited number of field days and meetings last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Events where participants could gather outside were prioritized, and many planned education events, which in past years have drawn hundreds of participants, had to be postponed. This left the council with some of the funds remaining from their 2020 DATCP Producer-Led Watershed Council grant that will be rolled over into 2021.

In addition, the group has been funded for 2021 for the fourth year in a row by DATCP. This year, the funding was $30,000, and funded activities  include cover crop installation, well water testing, farm walkovers, demonstration/research plots, surface water testing, signage, administration, and supported member education.
