JOSH AND NOAH ENGEL are second generation organic farmers and members of the Tainter Creek Watershed Council. Their organic farming business is situated in one of the headwaters of Tainter Creek.

CRAWFORD COUNTY - The Tainter Creek Watershed Council will hold a field day at Driftless Organics, in Utica Township, in Crawford County, on Thursday, July 23, at 7 p.m. 

This is a great opportunity to view a multi-generation organic vegetable farming operation that has expanded in recent years into grassfed organic beef. Josh and Noah Engel are also leaders in experimentation with cover crops for weed suppression, improved soil health, and stormwater management. Their farm is situated in one of the headwaters of Tainter Creek.

Farmers from neighboring watersheds thinking of forming a watershed council are welcome to attend and learn from this experienced group of watershed leaders.

Driftless Organics is located a52450 McManus Road, Soldiers Grove, WI 54655. To reach the farm from Highway 27, go east on Crawford County C, then left on McManus Road for approximately one mile.
