Building Platteville, Inc. engaged in its second beautification project for the Platteville community.

Last year, Building Platteville, Inc. and the Chamber partnered to purchase new flags for Main Street. This year, the project entailed the purchase of hanging flower pots for Main Street. The plants were special-ordered from Cushman’s Greenhouse in Belmont.

City crews helped hang them and Building Platteville had to organize the volunteers for watering. The city provided the water. The plants were watered every day unless there was a measurable rain, and fertilized regularly.

The project was assisted in part by a grant from the Platteville Community Fund. Assistance was also given by Heiser Hardware, Ingersoll Plumbing & Heating, and Farm & Fleet. Photo by Steve Prestegard
