Downtown retail seminar in Dubuque Jan. 8

Dubuque Main Street will offer a morning seminar on retail growth on the second floor of the Roshek Building, 700 Locust St., Dubuque, Tuesday, Jan. 8 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.

North Carolina-based marketing consultant Hilary Greenberg will address how to build a more resilient downtown economy by utilizing case studies and experience gained from working with programs across the country. She will present innovative ways to overcome issues related to changing demographics, declining sales opportunities, and proactive vs. reactive approaches.

Admission will be $5 per person for the general public, with Dubuque Main Street investors and their employees admitted for free. This seminar is a continuation of the Downtown Dubuque Business Improvement Network monthly meetings, facilitated by Dubuque Main Street. The DDBIN meets monthly and strives to improve downtown Dubuque’s business climate through value added educational sessions and networking opportunities for local business owners and staff.
