Eric Dellamater is one of the new providers at Family Health of Lafayette County.

DeletFamily Health of Lafayette County in Darlington recently had two new providers join their team in Darlington: Eric Dellamater and Carrie Strompolis-Galle.
Dellamater came to Family Health in September after previously working as a pulmonary critical care specialist in the Green Bay area, where he is still living. He also worked in family practice in Green Bay for five years before that.
“I was ready to get back to family practice in a smaller town after focusing on specialty care for so long,” said Dellamater. “This presented a unique opportunity that seems like it will fit nicely.” Dellamater is currently renting in Darlington, although he still lives in the Green Bay area with his wife and two children.
Dellamater has Darlington hours on Tuesdays and Fridays and said things have been going excellent so far since he began in September.
“I’ve really enjoyed the transition, the community is wonderful and I’ve been very happy with the openness and acceptance shown by the staff and the community,” he explained.
In his free time Dellamater enjoys duck hunting, boating and carving decoys.
Carrie Strompolis-Galle, of Mineral Point, started at Family Health in August. Previously she worked at the Mineral Point Medical Center and UW Hospital, where she is still working part time.
“I wanted to work more locally,” she explained. “Working in Madison is a long commute and it’s hard to get to know your patients very well there.”
Strompolis-Galle has Darlington hours on Mondays and Thursdays. “It’s been really good so far,” said Strompolis-Galle of her experience at Family Health. “I’ve met a lot of patients and have seen some of them more than once now, so I’m starting to learn all the connections and how people are related in the area.”
Stompolis-Galle specializes in family practice, diabetes, women’s health, emergency burn care and advance cardiac life support.
Strompolis-Galle lives in Mineral Point with her husband and four children, and the couple is currently expecting another child. In her free time, Stompolis-Galle is a volunteer soccer coach, EMT in Mineral Point and enjoys watching her kids in their various sports and other activities.
Both Dellamater and Strompolis-Galle are also available in the Argyle and Shullsburg Clinic.
