The Cleary-Miller American Legion Post 115 building, located at 402 Franklin St. in Elroy, has served as a meeting place, event hall and banquet center for the community for many years. As the building ages, the American Legion Post 115 is actively raising funds to update the building and make necessary improvements.

To help kick off their fund raising efforts, Royal Bank recently donated a gift of $2,500 to the building project. Funds raised from this campaign will be used to replace the roof and improve the parking lot.

With their main office located just a few steps away from the American Legion, this is a project that Royal Bank feels closely connected to.

“As a community bank, we feel it’s vital to give back and invest in the communities we serve,” said Bob Hart, president. “This project is one way for us to accomplish that. We’re proud to be a part of this project.”

Hart and Jack Heding, president, recently presented a check to Jim Bender, Commander of the Cleary-Miller American Legion Post 115.

To donate to or learn more about this project, contact Bender at 608-462-5402 or Vince Pintarro, Adjutant, at 608-548-6065.
