SWRPC to focus on development plan

The Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission will meet in the community room of Stonefield Apartment Homes, 407 E. Madison St., Dodgeville, Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 9:30 a.m.

The commissioners will be briefed on the Economic Development, Community Planning Program’s Grow Southwest Plan, and Transportation programs. Preliminary information on the closeout of the 2012 budget will also be available. An office space rental agreement will be reviewed and possibly signed. The commission will also consider approving a contract for auditing services for the 2012 fiscal year. In addition, regular monthly items will include a review of bills and vouchers and an update on other commission activities.

The public is invited to attend.

SWWRPC provides intergovernmental planning and coordination of community development planning, economic development, and transportation. In response to local and regional goals, the commission and its staff work to enhance fiscal and physical resources and to balance local and regional development, preservation, conservation, and social priorities in Grant, Green, Iowa, Lafayette, and Richland counties.
