American Transmission Co. and ITC Midwest LLC will hold an informational meeting on their electric transmission line project at the Belmont Convention Center, 102 N. Mound Ave., Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m.

ATC and ITC plan to build a 125-mile-long 345-kilovolt transmission line between northeastern Iowa and western Wisconsin. The companies claim the Cardinal–Hickory Creek Project will address electric system reliability issues and improve access to renewable energy.
