AN ICE sculpture display at the corner of Ann and Galena streets was destroyed on Tuesday, Dec. 13. The Darlington Police Department reports that John Ruf, 74 of rural Darlington, allegedly drove his truck on the sidewalk to destroy the two ice sculptures of cardinals created by Dick Anderson as part of a city-sponsored event on Saturday, Dec. 10. Ruf was issued two citations: destruction of property and operating a motor vehicle upon a public sidewalk.
