The Darlington Police Department is investigating the theft of four ATVs and an enclosed trailer that is believed to have happened over the weekend.

On Sunday, Dec. 7, at approximately 8:15 a.m., Mike’s Engine Works reported that four ATVs had been stolen from their lot, said a press release from the Darlington Police Department.

It is believed that the ATVs were stolen after 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night, Dec. 6.  One of the ATVs was recovered two blocks away near the campgrounds, but the other three vehicles are still missing, said the press release.

The three ATVs were described as a black and orange 2014 Polaris RZR, a camouflage 2007 Polaris Sportsman 800 and a silver 2005 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 with red paint on the left fender.

An enclosed trailer belonging to Ubersox Automotive Group that was parked at the campground as part of the city’s Riverside Reflections Christmas display was also reported missing on Monday, Dec. 8 and police believe the two cases to be connected.

The trailer is white in color with blue wording that reads: “Ubersox Auto Group.”
