Four charged for methamphetamine

Four people arrested after a Town of Benton house search Nov. 17 will have court appearances on felony drug charges this month.

Brandon A. Loken, 26, Platteville, will appear in Lafayette County Circuit Court for a status conference July 15 at 9 a.m. on charges of party to possession of methamphetamine, party to possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, and party to disposal of methamphetamine manufacturing waste.

Loken pleaded not guilty to the charges April 28.

Christopher K. Bennett, 39, Benton, will appear in Lafayette County Circuit Court for a status on those three charges July 15 at 1:15 p.m.

Haleigh S. Stocks, 24, Highland, will appear in Lafayette County Circuit Court for a pretrial conference on those three charges July 13 at 10:30 a.m. Stocks pleaded not guilty to the charges June 16.

Garrett S. Lipshutz, 24, Lancaster, will appear in Lafayette County Circuit Court on those three charges July 22 at 9 a.m. Lipshutz pleaded not guilty to the charges May 7.

The three charges include maximum sentences of 15½ years in prison and $30,000 in fines.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and the Monroe Police Department executed a search warrant at Bennett’s Town of Benton house Nov. 17, where products used in the manufacture of methamphetamine were discovered, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Stocks was wanted on a warrant from Grant County, and Loken was wanted on a Department of Corrections probation hold, the press release said.

Loken and Bennett faced a Lafayette County charge of party to substantial battery, a felony, for an incident Nov. 10, but Bennett’s charge was dismissed March 31 and Loken’s charge was dismissed May 20, according to court records.

Stocks was placed on two years probation, including 60 days in jail, after she pleaded no contest to forgery — uttering as a repeater and felony bail jumping Feb. 25. Charges of burglary and theft of up to $2,500 were dismissed, according to court records.

Lipshutz pleaded guilty June 3 to Grant County charges of possession of narcotic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He will be sentenced on those charges July 23 at 11 a.m.
