Law enforcement officials are warning of several scams in the area.

One such scam is receiving a call from someone stating they are from your financial institution and your debit card has been deactivated.

Another scam is a phone call from someone stating they are from Microsoft or another company asking for remote access to your computer.

Authorities say if you receive this type of phone call, do not allow anyone remote access to your computer and never give out your card number or PIN number.

They say if you feel you are a victim of these or any other scams, please contact your financial institution immediately.
