Man stopped for speeding, arrested for pot, on warrants

A 37-year-old East Dubuque man was arrested on drug charges and outstanding warrants Sunday afternoon.

Ryan J. Arling was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Arling also was cited for speeding and operating after revocation.

Arling was stopped for speeding on U.S. 151 in the Town of Belmont, according to the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.

Arling had two bench warrants issued in Lafayette County Circuit Court Dec. 5 for failure to pay $39,480.56 in child support, according to court records.
