Police respond to bomb threat at Leer, Inc.

Law enforcement officials investigated a bomb threat Sept. 17 at Leer Inc. in New Lisbon.

The investigation revealed that a Leer Inc. employee, Bradley Priessnitz, 27, called in the bomb threat.

New Lisbon police arrested Priessnitz for the bomb threat, which is a felony offense.  He was also charged with a parole violation.

After receiving the threat, Leer employees were immediately evacuated,  and law enforcement officers and fire department personnel searched the building. A bomb sniffing K-9 from the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted in the search.

The building was eventually cleared, allowing employees to return to work.

New Lisbon police and the State Patrol were also assisted by the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department, the Elroy Police Department, and the New Lisbon Fire Department.

The incident remains under investigation.
