LANCASTER — A trial is scheduled for early January for a Montfort man facing felony drunk driving charges.

Nathan Teasdale, 30, 207 E. Main St., is charged with fifth- or sixth-offense operating with prohibited alcohol concentration.

Teasdale pleaded not guilty to the charge in Grant County Circuit Court in Lancaster Oct. 30. A status conference is scheduled for Dec. 19, with the trial date after New Year’s Day.

Teasdale is free on a $2,000 signature bond. As condition of the bond, Teasdale is not to consume or possess any alcohol during the duration of the case.

Teasdale was arrested after the Grant County Sheriff’s Department received a call on April 23 at 9:10 p.m. about a vehicle traveling at high speed on U.S. 18 in the Town of Mount Ida.

Under Wisconsin law, upon a fourth offense OMVI, the prohibited alcohol concentration drops from 0.08 to 0.02, according to a Grant County Sheriff’s Department news release. A blood alcohol test returned a reading of 0.06, according to court records.
