A 23-year-old Cuba City woman was cited for 13th-offense operating after suspension and other charges after a traffic stop on U.S. 151 early Friday morning.

A Grant County sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle driven by Lanessa Lattimore going north on 151 near the U.S. 61 exit around 1:10 a.m. The Dubuque Police Department K-9 unit was dispatched to assist, and the K-9 Brix alerted to the presence of narcotics.

A search of the vehicle revealed trace amounts of restricted controlled substances and “multiple indicators of prior drug usage,” according to the Sheriff's Department.

In addition to operating after suspension, Lattimore was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance, improper display of registration, failure of the owner to transfer a vehicle title, and nonregistration of a motor vehicle.

The vehicle’s previous owner, Ronnie Mack Smith, 47, Dickeyville, was cited for failure to transfer a vehicle title. The sheriff’s department reported Smith never titled the vehicle when he owned it.
