BOSCOBEL - The regular meeting of the Boscobel School Board began on a somber note Tuesday evening with an observation of silence for a teacher who passed away unexpectedly on Saturday.

Board president Todd Miller called on those assembled to take a moment to remember elementary special education teacher Michelle Streicher. Streicher taught at the school for 19 years.

The meeting got underway with a brief report from high school principal Rod Lewis summing up the end of the year and summer school progress.

“It’s mostly students catching up on credits,” Lewis said of the summer school program.
