FENNIMORE — The Wisconsin Technical College System Board has approved the appointment of Iowa–Grant School District Administrator Linda Erickson to the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College District Board.

SWTC’s board of directors is comprised of regional citizens representing employers, elected officials, employees, a K–12 school district administrator, and members at large.

Erickson brings 36 years’ experience in K–12 education and is dedicated to supporting the development and expansion of educational and training opportunities for residents of the region.

“I am excited to become of a member of the Southwest Wisconsin Technical College District Board,” said Erickson. “Iowa–Grant Schools and Southwest Tech enjoy a partnership that offers an important post-secondary pathway for so many of our students. I believe we must provide the right educational opportunities for every student to achieve his or her goals.”

“Southwest Wisconsin is blessed to have many strong, successful elementary and secondary school leaders,” said SWTC president Duane Ford. “Southwest Wisconsin Technical College is in turn blessed to have one of those quality leaders, Ms. Linda Erickson, joining its Board of Directors. Her years of experience will be invaluable to the Board as well as to the College’s many stakeholders.

“I am also pleased to report that Southwest Tech has long enjoyed a robust and mutually beneficial relationship with Iowa–Grant High School, therefore, Ms. Erickson joins the Board possessing extensive knowledge of the college and its partnership work with regional school.”
