Le Cercle Franais
PHS French Club selling flowers
French Club
Students in the PHS French Club are enjoying some French cheeses: Brie, Chvre and Roquefort.

The Platteville High School “Cercle Français” meets monthly for various activities.

Some of these activities including watching films, eating French desserts at PHS’ holiday dessert rendez-vous, and meeting at Badger Brothers Coffee for coffee and French trivia.

In February the club will be doing its annual Valentine’s Day flower sale, where students and parents can send flowers to PHS students with fun French messages like “Je t’aime, ma petite puce” (”I love you, my little flea”).

All flowers come from Erschen’s Florist. Proceeds from the sale go to the club, to a scholarship given to a senior who will study world language in college, and in the past, have gone to various charities.

If interested in sending a flower to a PHS student, look for an order form on the PHS website, www.platteville.k12.wi.us, at the beginning of February.
