PHS senior to sing in National FFA Choir

PLATTEVILLE — A Platteville High School senior has been chosen for the National FFA Chorus, which will sing at the 85th annual National FFA Convention in Indianapolis Oct. 24–27.

Jaron Frederick of the Platteville FFA Chapter was nominated by Wisconsin FFA Chorus director Peter Engh. Frederick was one of 90 youth selected from a pool of more than 250 applications nationwide.

Frederick, 17, is the son of Jeff and Janet Frederick of Platteville. In addition to FFA, Frederick participates in the Blue Notes jazz choir, F-Troupe, forensics and the musical. He is a member of the PHS Band and Choir, and has participated in Solo and Ensemble Festival the past three years.

The choir will perform several times during the convention. The FFA Choir concert Oct. 26 will air live on RFD-TV at 4:45 p.m. RFD-TV can be viewed online at myruraltv.com.
