UW Colleges Chancellor Cathy Sandeen has announced individuals selected for the newly created positions of director of communications and director of continuing education of the Southwest Region of UW Colleges. This is another key step in the implementation of the regional structure made necessary through budget reduction activities. 

In the Southwest Region, these individuals are as follows.

Shawna Connor has been named director of communications. Currently, Connor serves as the interim director of marketing and communications at the UW-Richland campus.

Jessica Laeseke has been named director of continuing education. Currently, Laeseke serves as the director of continuing education at the UW-Richland campus.

Connor and Laeseke will assume their new regional duties effective January 1, 2016.  

Under the new University of Wisconsin Colleges administrative model announced in July, the 13 UW Colleges will be grouped into four regions. The Southwest Region of UW Colleges includes UW-Baraboo/Sauk County, UW-Richland, and UW-Rock County.
