The inaugural UW–Platteville Nearly Naked Run Thursday was organized by the Alumni Association and UW-Platteville Student Ambassadors. Participants began by wearing as much new or gently used clothing as possible. At 7 p.m. the runners remove much of their clothing, which is being donated to Family Connections, Family Advocates, Grant County Homeless Coalition, Grant County Social Services and the Women’s Shelter. Pizza Hut, Walgreens, Jimmy Johns and UW–Platteville Dining Services donated prizes for the event.
