A tribute to Ben Logan at 'Seldom Seen Farm'

The Mississippi Valley Conservancy will honor Ben Logan, author of the Wisconsin classic, ‘The Land Remembers: The Story of a Farm and Its People’ with a nature hike on Saturday, Oct. 20, on the land that is the subject of the book, the Seldom Seen Farm.

The hike will traverse narrow and slippery paths on moderate to steep slopes. The hike will begin at 10 a.m. at 51834 Zintz Road in Gays Mills  (between Mt. Sterling and Gays Mills).

Directions from Gays Mills: head south on Highway 131 for approximately 3.5 miles. Turn right onto County S for 1.8 miles. Turn left onto Zintz Road. Continue for about two miles. The farm is on the north side of the road.
