The 2012 Crawford County Dairy Princess Candidates:

Hello, my name is Mikaela Baker.  I am the 16-year-old daughter of Gerald and Dawn Baker.  I grew up and currently live on a small 120-acre family dairy farm a few miles east of Ferryville. We milk Grade Holsteins. Around the farm, I care for calves and milk cows.

I enjoy exhibiting my dairy cows at the county fair.  I am home schooled in my junior year. I am serving my eleventh year as a member of the Happy Hi-Liter 4-H Club, a two-year member of the Fair Youth Committee and Junior Leaders Association.

I am the 2011 Dairy Princess Attendant. I plan to attend College for Nursing-Associate Degree.

Hi, my name is Rachael Nolan. I am the 15-year-old daughter of Patrick and Tammy Nolan of rural Prairie du Chien. My family and I live on a dairy farm and we have a family farm partnership, along with my father’s brother and his family. Together, we own and operate 1,200 acres and milk about 110 registered Holsteins.

I am almost finished with my sophomore year at the Prairie du Chien High School. I am an active member of the Key Club, FFA, Eastman Cloverleaf 4-H Club, and of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Parish. I am very excited and look forward to representing the Dairy Industry for Crawford County.
