A 17th anniversary celebration of Bethel Parkside in LaFarge will be held at the fall barbecue Oct. 24.  The event, held from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the La Farge Community Temple, will include Barbecue Supper, music by Steve Hall and auction.

Volunteers will be serving barbecue sandwiches, salads, bars, lemonade & coffee for a freewill offering.  The Chinese and silent auctions will start at 4:30 p.m. and the live auction will begin at 5:30 p.m.  A collection of canned goods and other groceries will be taken to help replenish the La Farge Food Pantry.

The October celebration will be hosted by current board members: Bonita Dorsheid, Carol Persons, Karla Yanske, Kathy Madden, Marlys Steinmitz and Kristina Hemstead.

For information about the event or about the services offered in LaFarge, contact Lynn Clark Swiggum at 608-637-6344.  Anyone wishing to donate an auction item for the celebration is invited to contact one of the board members.

Bethel Parkside, a cooperative effort between Bethel Home and Services and the La Farge community, provides a valuable and needed service to the senior members of the La Farge area who desire to remain in the community they have loved throughout their active years.
