Book signing at Gays Mills Library

Len Harris, author of ‘The Stream of Time,’ will be coming to the Gays Mills Public Library for a book signing on Saturday, March 31 at 10 a.m.

Readers are probably familiar with Harris’s writing in the Crawford County Independent. They may also know that Len has a great passion for fishing. However, paging through the library’s copy of ‘The Stream of Time,’ it becomes obvious that there is more than great fish stories in this book.

A great fishing book would be good enough. However, there’s a lot more than tips on angling for brookies in between the covers. It is also about the land, the streams, the people, the history and how all of that has shaped the man that Len Harris has become.

Jess Johnson, a Gays Mills native like Harris, was moved by reading Len’s book.

“I always knew (Len) liked to fish, but for years I thought it was just his hobby,” Johnson said. “Now, I know it means so much more to him and all those he has the opportunity to share time on the water with in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin.”
Len will be at the library on Saturday, March 31.  Listen to him read from his book and watch a short PowerPoint he has created for this event. For more information call 735-4331 or drop by the new Gays Mills Public Library located in the Community Commerce Center on Highway 131.
