Your mouth is watering. You can almost taste that fried fish in your mouth - it can only mean that it’s catfish festival time in Tennyson and Potosi.

The annual event kicks off this Friday with the local truck pull, which begins promptly at 6:30
p.m. Also on the grounds will be live entertainment from 8 p.m. until 12 a.m. with the music stylings of deejay
Double J.

Things continue on Saturday with the Dairyland antique tractor pull commencing at 9:30 a.m., followed 30 minutes later with the start of the bean bag tourney.

At the same time as the start of the bean bag tournament, Party Jump Inflatables will open, running until 8 p.m., with a deal of $10 for kids to play all day.

Noon will mark the start of the ATV/snowmobile drag races. Then at 2 p.m., the euchre tournament begins.

Saturday evening will host another truck and tractor pull, starting at 6:30 p.m., and DJ Double J will be back rocking the
grounds until midnight.

Sunday will be packed with a number of annual traditions, including the parade starting at 10 a.m. Following the parade will be the event that started it all, the annual firemen’s catfish dinner, going on until 5 p.m.

With all of the events taking place Sunday at the Potosi Fire and Rescue Building, shuttle service will be running from the Ss. Andrew-Thomas and Potosi Schools parking lots.

Little Miss Catfish will be crowned at noon, and there will be a number of activities for the kids throughout the day. There will be music in the beer tent on Sunday.

A bake sale, games, and assortment of crafts and souvenirs will be available. Area garage sales will be taking place during the event all three days as well.
