The final concert in the Richland Concert Association’s 2013-2014 season will take place on April 6, 2 p.m. at Town & Country Presbyterian Church, 345 S. Cairns Ave., Richland Center. Classical guitarist Larry Snitzler will be the featured performing artist.
Snitzler, known internationally as a performer, lecturer, and recording artist, is currently the guitar instructor at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and American University in Washington, D.C. A protégé of Andres Segovia, he began studies with him at age 18 and maintained a 25-year association. While residing in Paris, he studied music theory and interpretation with Nadia Boulanger. Snitzler, along with Charlie Byrd, was a founding member of The Washington Guitar Quintet.
Tickets will be available at the door. Prices are $15 per single adult and $5 per student. University of Wisconsin-Richland students will be admitted free with campus ID card. Season tickets for the exciting 2014-2015 season will also be available. Prices remain the same as last year: $50 per single adult, $80 per family (1 or 2 adults plus resident children under the age of 18) and $15 per student. New subscribers will be admitted to the April 6 concert free of charge with purchase of a new season ticket. Brochures describing next season’s line-up of performing artists will also be available.
