Cooking up fiction at the library

Prairie du Chien author Marilyn Leys will talk about her recipe for writing on Thursday, June 19 at 4:30 p.m. at the Soldiers Grove Public Library.

Leys will describe the process she used for turning ten or eleven ingredients – facts, drawings, and personal experiences – into a section of a larger work.

Leys recently published the novel ‘Madame Jane’, based on the life of Jane Fisher, an early settler of Prairie du Chien and the first woman in Wisconsin Territory to file for a divorce.

The event is free and all are welcome to attend.
