The Fennimore Community Theatre is excited to bring you the 2016 production of “That’s the Spirit” by Tim Kelly, wonderfully directed by Jane Lewis. Dates are Friday, April 15, Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17.
Known psychic Jenny Davenport has been murdered leaving her niece Irene her home, which once belonged to famed illusionist “The Great Marvel”.  Being from Chicago, Irene hasn’t had much exposure to her Aunt’s psychic network of eccentric friends; but not feeling like she can trust the bumbling police, the often sarcastic housekeeper or the actor living next door, what choice does she have but to see who can solve the murder of her dear aunt?
Hijinks and laughter abound as the culprit is weeded out as everyone has to use their abilities in this hilarious, old-fashioned comedic “who-dunnit” which brings a great mix of returning cast members and new faces to the stage.
The cast is headed up by the always engaging Ellen Hines, Deb Baxter, Aaron Peterson and Brandee Lendosky. The Psychic friends are the entertaining Tammy Nelson, Sara Peterson and newcomer Christal Foreyt. They’re joined by the off-beat, always funny trio of Gregg Davis, Linda O’Kane and first time performer Alan McCormick. Add in returning members Mary Scanlan, and Kelsi Mellum, you are sure to enjoy all the moments as they come at you in this uproarious tale!
Mark your calendars and save the dates! Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16 will be Dinner Theater catered by Timothy’s Restaurant. The dinner starts at 6:30 with the show starting at 7:30. ADVANCED TICKETS ARE REQUIRED by April 9. Sunday, April 17 is an afternoon matinee of the show only at 1 p.m. Reserved seating is available, however you may purchase tickets at the door as well.
Tickets are on sale now at the Fennimore Times, Brechler Insurance, The Herald Independent/Reminder in Lancaster or by contacting Jane Lewis at 608-778-9263. The cost is $18 for the dinner theater and $7 for the Sunday matinee. We can’t wait to see you at the show!
