Dan’s informative presentations on Wisconsin reptiles are fun for all ages. The program will be held at the Peterson Memorial Park on Sunbeam Boulevard by the creek behind Burkum Milling Company at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July. Dan will bring his animal friends for up close and personal learning!

For those who want to use their digital device to download and check-out books, Liz Bransky, North Crawford Schools Librarian and Library Director Cele Wolf will walk patrons through setting up their devices to work with the library systems digital book service, Overdrive, on Thursday, July 30 from 7 to 9 p.m.

Overdrive is a catalog of e-books, audiobooks and more that the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium has purchased for library users in the state. In order to use Overdrive, you must have a valid library card or account and a device that will download apps from iTunes, GooglePlay, Barnes and Noble, Amazon or other app stores. If you don’t have a library card, you can apply for one on the same evening.

Once you have your device is set up with Overdrive, you will be able to check out and temporarily download books.

The library has two Nooks and a Kindle for use in the library, as well as a couple of older Nooks for checkout.

Both programs are free and open to all. If you have questions call 624-5815 or email the library at cwolf@swls.org.
