PLATTEVILLE – Platteville Art, Trails, and History project (PATH) is hosting a gathering of creative folks. All artists, writers, performers, musicians, crafters, and others involved in creative fields, both formally and informally, are invited. The PATH Team will provide an update on the Creative Community Plan and ask for input on the plan and the community celebration project. The gathering will be held at 110 W Main Street in Platteville on Aug. 29 at 5:30 pm.

PATH is a community arts and culture project funded by the National Endowment for the Arts Our Town program. The goal of PATH is to bring the community together to decide what makes Platteville special and how we can use arts and culture to promote these special qualities and make our community an even better place. PATH is being led by the City of Platteville, Arts Wisconsin, and community partners. The project will produce a Creative Community Plan for Platteville and a celebration project. The format of the celebration project will be decided through the planning process and community input; it could be a piece of public art, sculpture, mural, mosaic, musical performance, theater production, poetry reading, environmental project, or something else entirely. Watch for opportunities to participate in PATH events, meetings, and surveys and you can help decide.

Mark your calendars for the next PATH Community Meeting on Nov. 14th.
