Highland pasture walk scheduled

David Anderson is your host for the Great River Graziers Pasture Walk that will be held on Tuesday, July 29, at 10:30 a.m. at his farm located in Iowa County.

Guest speaker Laura Paine, a Grazing Broker with SW Badger RC&D, will expound on grazing brokering

Crawford County Agriculture Agent Vance Haugen will present the Pasture Walk topic discussion: 

• Harvested pine plantation on land previously in CRP and established pasture;

• Benefits of Managed Intensive Grazing for Grassland Bird Conservation; and

• Utilizing NRCS EQIP for a managed grazing plan and associated grazing practices.

The Anderson farm is located in Iowa County at 5005 County Road II, Highland, Wis. 53543

East on Highway 80 & County Q 1.7 mi. Left on County Q 5.6 mi. left onCounty II for 1.3 mi. Destination on right. Driveway is for 5001 & 5005 on County Road II Come up the driveway (past neighbor’s house) up to the shed.
